1Agreement
By installing or using Dokan ("the app"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
These Terms are between you and Increments Inc., 23, Gareeb-e-Newaz Ave, Sector 13, Uttara, Dhaka-1230, Bangladesh ("we", "us").
2What Dokan is
Dokan is an offline shop-management app for small retail businesses. It helps you keep a credit ledger (বাকির খাতা), record sales and purchases, track cash, manage stock, and print or share receipts.
Dokan is a record-keeping tool. It does not lend money, hold money, transfer money, or process payments. Any credit you extend to a customer is an arrangement between you and that customer. We are not a party to it.
3Licence
We grant you a free, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Dokan for your own business.
You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app; reverse-engineer or decompile it, except where the law expressly permits; or use it to break any law.
The most important section — please read it
4Your data is yours — and it lives on your phone
Everything you record in Dokan is stored only on your device. We have no server and no copy of your data. This means:
- We cannot recover your data. Not for any reason, ever. We do not have it.
- If your phone is lost, stolen, damaged, reset, or the app is uninstalled, your data is gone unless you have a backup.
- Backups are your responsibility. Dokan can create backup files and save them to your phone's
Download/Dokanfolder. Keeping copies somewhere safe — another device, a memory card, cloud storage of your choosing — is up to you. - Backup files contain your full shop records. Anyone who obtains one can read them. Share them only with people you trust.
We strongly recommend taking regular backups and storing at least one copy off your phone.
5Accuracy and your responsibility
Dokan records what you enter and calculates from it. You are responsible for what you put in and for the decisions you make from it.
- Check figures before relying on them for money decisions.
- Dokan is not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice.
- You are responsible for your own tax and regulatory obligations. The TIN/BIN fields simply store numbers you provide; they do not file, calculate, or submit anything to any authority.
- Where the app shows a warning (for example, selling below cost, or a customer's outstanding credit), it is a convenience, not a guarantee.
If a customer disputes a debt recorded in Dokan, that is a matter between you and them.
6No warranty
Dokan is provided "as is" and free of charge, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
We do not promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or Android version. Software can contain defects.
7Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, loss of business, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, Dokan.
Because Dokan is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us for it — which is nothing.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8Other apps and devices
Dokan can hand information to other apps and hardware at your request — sharing a receipt through WhatsApp, printing to a Bluetooth thermal printer, exporting a report, opening a file picker.
Once information leaves Dokan, it is governed by that app's or device's own terms, not ours. We are not responsible for third-party apps, printers, or services.
9Updates and availability
We may update, change, or discontinue Dokan at any time, including removing features. We are under no obligation to provide updates or continued support.
Some updates may be required for the app to keep working correctly.
10Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms. If we do, we will update the date at the top and publish the new version at this address. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
11Ending this agreement
You may stop using Dokan at any time by uninstalling it. Remember that uninstalling deletes the app's data from your device (see section 4).
12Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Dhaka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
